Sunshine On My Shoulders

I found it...Roark likes John Denver. He was a little fussy this morning so I put on a little JD and he fell asleep...I'm sure many people fall asleep to John Denver. Maybe it is the hormones, but the words to Sunshine On My Shoulders are beautiful:

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high

If I had a day that I could give you
I'd give to you a day just like today
If I had a song that I could sing for you
I'd sing a song to make you feel this way

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high

If I had a tale that I could tell you
I'd tell a tale sure to make you smile
If I had a wish that I could wish for you
I'd make a wish for sunshine all the while

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high
Sunshine almost all the time makes me high
Sunshine almost always

Sunshine

So picture this...I'm holding Roark so his head is on my shoulder...and we are "dancing" in his room and I'm "singing" (I'm not that good of a singer, just a reminder). When I get to this part: "If I had a day that I could give you; I'd give to you a day just like today," I'm crying...thank you hormones. Keep in mind that I am not sad. Oh no....it is just the best feeling in the world to feel his breath on my neck and that he is comfortable enough in my arms to fall asleep...plus the fact he doesn't mind my singing is a total bonus. I wish I could bottle this...seriously.

As mentioned in the previous blog, Roark got to meet his other grandparents. He was very well behaved...it was wonderful having them here, with Allie.

Here is a picture:
