Here is something that I found amusing, hopefully you all will as well. Yesterday, my dear friend Nikki called to inform me that she thought "Today is the day you are going into labor." So...as the wise person I am I realized there are still some things I need to get at the store...so I gathered the dogs together and off we went.
As I'm driving to the store it occurred to me, why did I bring the dogs? My immediate reaction - "so they can help with the delivery." Seriously...This baby brain, irrational thinking that the hormones are causing...Maybe it was the emotional support they would provide...the licking of my face. Or perhaps distracting me from the pain - only to focus on petting them. Come to think of it, these dogs would be great Doulas.
I SWEAR I haven't had a drink.
